Ilan Grobman – CEO
Ilan has founded and built three successful organizations. In 1998 Ilan co-founded Tradeum, Inc., where he was responsible for early product definition, direction and strategic planning. He was responsible for sales and business development during the launch of the company. He helped recruit a seasoned management team and led the company’s eventual acquisition by VerticalNet (NASDAQ: VERT) which acquired Tradeum for $ 500 Million. Ilan was also co-founder of two additional telecommunications ventures, and notably a non profit that has helped thousands of chronically ill and severely ill children from all races and religious beliefs across Israel. Most recently Ilan served as an executive board member of a consumer electronics and registry service for digital music solutions, Catch Media, Inc. Ilan, as Executive Vice President of Strategic Business Development, helped raise seed financing and set the strategic direction for the company. In this role, Ilan initiated and negotiated the company's first international joint venture with a leading music retailer and distributor in Cyprus and Greece, as well as led the push to negotiating licenses with major music industry labels.
Lloyd Lurie –SVP of Product Management and Customer Service
Lloyd Lurie brings 20 years of operations, technology management, and client servicing experience to Certagon. Most recently, Mr. Lurie was Chief Operating Officer of IDT Global Services, where he built from the ground up a multi-lingual, round-the-clock contact center and outsourcing facility, growing it to 1000+ employees. Mr. Lurie handled key client accounts, as well as established and continued to manage IDT's call center operations, technology, human resources, recruitment, and training functions. Prior to joining IDT, Mr. Lurie was VP of Client and Technical Operations at Vertical Net Solutions, where he created and operated its hosting business and 24/7 customer service operation for e-commerce products. Prior to its US$500 million acquisition by Vertical Net, Mr. Lurie ran Tradeum's technology and professional services groups. Previously, Mr. Lurie was VP of Technology for Northern Trust Company, a premier global banking and trust company, with assets under custody of over US$3 trillion. He managed the expansion of Northern's network to over 70 locations world-wide, supporting over 5000 corporate clients, as well as over 8000 employees.
Ranan Grobman – VP Business Development
Ranan has been working and investing in Israeli High Tech companies since 1998. Most recently, Ranan is a Principal at Jerusalem Global Ventures where he has taken an active role in helping some of the funds’ portfolio companies. Prior to Jerusalem Global Ventures, Ranan was Vice President of Investment Banking at Yazam.com, where he led investments in software and communications companies. While at Yazam, Ranan co-founded Roquia Networks, a free space optics company. Prior to Yazam, Ranan was part of Tradeum’s founding team, as market analyst. Tradeum was sold to VerticalNet
